UO board of trustees to meet June 1-2 in Eugene

The Board of Trustees of the University of Oregon will meet for its next quarterly meeting June 1-2 at the Ford Alumni Center on the Eugene campus, with the university’s finances being a main focus.

The two days will begin at 9 a.m. Monday with the Executive, Audit and Governance Committee, which will give its quarterly internal audit update along with Chief Auditor Anta Coulibaly giving her Fiscal Year 2027 audit plan.

Then the Finance and Facilities Committee will convene, and Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration Jamie Moffitt will give the quarterly finance report, followed by the quarterly treasury report by Director of Treasury Operations Jeff Schumacher. There will also be a discussion for FY 2027 budget and expenditure authority.

The full board meeting will commence at 11 a.m. and following an executive session on collective bargaining, the meeting will reconvene at 1 p.m. with standing reports from President Karl Scholz, Provost Christopher P. Long, University Senate President Dyana Mason, and board chair Steve Holwerda. Outgoing ASUO President Prissila Moreno and incoming president Quadrian Gill will give a joint report as well.

The board will also hear a report on trustee office hours and then elect officers for a new term.

Following a break, Moffitt and her team will go over the Education and General Fund long term financial projections following Scholz’s announcement two weeks ago of a $65 million budget gap in the coming years.

Tuesday will begin with public comment, followed by board action on the naming of the UO sand volleyball courts, as well as approval of the FY 2027 budget and expenditure authority.

The meeting’s agenda and materials will be available when posted in the upcoming meetings section of the board website. Meetings will begin at 9 a.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday, and public comment is scheduled for the second day.

A livestream link will be available on the website. If accommodations for teleconference, sign language for the deaf or hard of hearing, or accessibility are required, contact trustees@uoregon.edu at least two business days in advance of the posted meeting time.
