After a successful turn at Portland State University, the environmentally friendly coupon app Chinook Book has formed a partnership with UO’s Office of Sustainability.
Chinook Book offers paperless coupons and discounts to Falling Sky Brewery, Townsend’s Tea and the Kiva, among others in Eugene. Office of Sustainability director Steve Mital pushed for the partnership to help students, faculty and staff cut costs and expand awareness of his office.
“We heard through a 2013 survey that many students didn’t know much about UO’s sustainability programming. This app is one way we’re reaching out to the campus community and informing them about sustainability programming and achievements,” Mital said.
Members of the UO community can download the Chinook Book various phone app stores. By creating an account with their UO email, students will receive special offers from Chinook Book.
