The University of Oregon Outdoor Program will hold its annual Gear Swap for those in need of new gear ranging from camping necessities to ski and snowboard gear and even kayaks.
The event gives the community a chance to buy, sell and trade any of their outdoor gear or to purchase any of the approximately 75 surplus items for sale by the Outdoor Program.
The Gear Swap is Wednesday, Jan. 27, from 6-9 p.m. in the EMU ballroom and is free and open to the entire community.
Sellers will be able to register in the OP Barn, 1225 E. 18th Ave., prior to the event. Limited table space also will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis the day of the event.
Previous swaps have drawn 200-300 individuals with two or three dozen selling their own gear.
More information on the Outdoor Program is at http://outdoorprogram.uoregon.edu/ and the event page can be found at http://outdoorprogram.uoregon.edu/events/gear-swap-307.
