Reuben Zahler, an assistant professor of history with the University of Oregon, was interviewed Wednesday (March 6) by The Wall Street Journal’s new talk show, “The Daily Wrap,” on the death of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and the future of U.S.-Venezuela relations.

Zahler studies Latin America from the colonial through modern periods. He has published articles on the evolving political and legal culture across the 19th century, as the region transformed from colonies to independent, liberal republics.
