The UO has been named one of the best colleges for LGBTQ students by BestColleges.com. The honor recognizes the university for fostering a safe and supportive learning environment for LGBTQ students.
“You have gone above and beyond in your support of this vulnerable community, so please celebrate with your students, faculty, alumni and community,” wrote BestColleges.com associate director for communications April Dunn in an email to the UO.
Ranked 10th out of 25, the UO is the only Oregon university on the list. The University of Pennsylvania is first, followed by Ithaca College.
