Staff, faculty members and students are invited to attend a virtual town hall meeting from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, to discuss Transform IT, the University of Oregon's information technology restructuring process. Registration is required.

The town hall will focus on the enterprise university applications program, a series of projects aimed at transforming software management at the UO.

Last summer, a project team found more than 1,100 applications in use at the university, at an aggregate annual cost of $8.9 million, excluding staffing costs.

That team provided recommendations for changing the purchase, development, management and support of software applications to save university resources and improve services.

At this month's virtual town hall, Jessie Minton, vice provost for information services and chief information officer, and Melody Riley, associate chief information officer for applications and middleware, will share the evolution of their vision for the program since Riley's arrival at the UO in September, including recommendations for governance and an updated timeline for implementation.
