The first of four candidates for the dean of the School of Music and Dance is scheduled to visit campus this week.
Each finalist will give a talk on “Leading the University of Oregon’s School of Music and Dance, Unique Opportunities and Challenges.” Presentations are open to the campus community and will include a question-and-answer period.
The first candidate, Lorenzo Candelaria, will speak Monday, Nov. 27. Jan Erkert, the second candidate, will speak Thursday, Nov. 30. Both presentations are from 11 a.m. to noon in Beall Concert Hall in the Frohnmayer Music Building.
The final two candidates will visit campus the week of Dec. 4. Candidate names and background information will be available on the Office of the Provost website three days in advance of each visit.
Community members are encouraged to submit feedback on the candidates through the online survey posted on the provost office’s website. Surveys will open after each candidate’s presentation. They close at noon Friday, Dec. 8.
