Once confirmed by the Oregon Legislature, freshman accounting major Will Paustian will serve through June 30, 2017.

The September board meeting included budget, tuition and construction discussions, a meeting with the governor and comments by the president.

The governor said she wants to work with the board to find a stable source of funding for higher education and continue recent gains.

Three academic buildings and two sports facilities are on the list of construction projects reviewed by the Finance and Facilities Committee. 

Named for the UO's outstanding former quarterback, the clinic will offer a place where athletes can rest, recover and diagnose problems.

Trustees also will look at an updated budget for the current year, review three capital projects and hear two academic presentations.

If approved, the project would add flexibility to to seat up to 30,000 and would improve training and academic facilities at the storied field.
