New data released as part of the Association of American Universities Data Exchange shows that the University of Oregon has continued to make significant progress on faculty salaries when compared to its AAU peers.

According to the new report, weighted average salaries for tenure-related faculty increased from 86 percent of the average salary of public AAU peers in 2013 to 94 percent in 2015, driven in large part by increases that were given in fiscal years 2014 and 2015.

“The data reflects the significant investments that have been made in faculty salaries over the last few years,” said Jamie Moffitt, vice president for finance and administration.

 “It’s important to note that this data is exclusively focused on salary,” added Moffitt. “It does not include other components of compensation such as health care or retirement benefits. On a total compensation basis we are even more competitive compared to our AAU public peers.”
