A: UO employees have until 5 p.m., Oct. 31, to enroll in a medical, dental and vision plan for Jan. 1, 2014 to Dec. 31, 2014. Enroll online in the PEBB.benefits system, print forms online or pick them up from Human Resources at 677 E. 12th Ave. Learn more in the September newsletter of the Public Employees’ Benefit Board.
Jaqua award goes to UO law school alum and judge
The University of Oregon School of Law will honor longtime Oregon judge Alfred "Ted" Goodwin with the school's John E. Jaqua Distinguished Alumnus Award during an award dinner at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27.
Registration to open for Fall Art Workshop at UO's EMU Craft Center
Registration for the Fall Art Workshop at the University of Oregon’s EMU Craft Center will open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, and will remain open until classes start or fill up.
The Craft Center has well-equipped studios that are open seven days a week. Participants in the center's workshops are encouraged to tap into their artistic sides, meet new people and have fun. Craft center classes accommodate everyone from those just beginning to explore a craft to accomplished artists.

September brings Bike Commute Challenge back to UO
The Bike Commute Challenge sponsored by the Bicycle Transportation Alliance started Sept. 1 and will continue through the end of the month.
The challenge is a competition that encourages participants to bike to work. Any employee can register individually, or with colleagues.

UOPD seeks help identifying burglary suspect
The University of Oregon Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in a pair of recent burglaries at the UO School of Law.
An unidentified man stole two Apple Macintosh iMac desktop computers during the the Labor Day weekend. The computers, stolen Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 from law school offices, are valued at about $2,500.
